ClipPair license terms
Effective 2026-10-05. Seller: ClipPair, by Logan Carrillo.
These terms cover using ClipPair. Your purchase itself is made through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record; their checkout terms cover payment, taxes and receipts.
1. What you're buying. A one-time, non-subscription license to use ClipPair on Windows and macOS computers you use.
2. How many computers. One license can be activated on up to three computers at a time. Any number of other computers can join an activated computer by pairing, without a license of their own. You can remove a license from a computer to free its slot; if a computer is lost or broken, contact support and we'll free it.
3. Who it's for. One license is for one person or one household. If a business wants several people to use ClipPair, please buy one license per person. We don't technically enforce this; we ask you to be fair.
4. Online activation. ClipPair needs an internet connection to activate a license, and then contacts our license server in the background about once a week. If an activated computer hasn't checked in for 3 weeks, syncing pauses until it can. Your clipboard content is never sent to us (see the Privacy policy).
5. Refunds. See the Refund policy. A refunded, charged-back or disabled license stops renewing and stops working after its current check-in period expires (at most 3 weeks).
6. What ClipPair does and doesn't do. ClipPair syncs text and images between paired Windows and macOS computers on the same local network. It doesn't support phones, tablets or Linux, and it can't work on networks that prevent your computers from seeing each other. Please check the requirements on clippair.app before buying.
7. Your responsibilities. Keep your pairing phrase private: anyone who has it while you're pairing can pair a computer with yours. Anything you copy on one paired computer becomes available on the others, including sensitive text that an app doesn't mark as confidential. Pause ClipPair when that matters.
8. Don't. Don't resell or share license keys publicly, or remove or bypass the license check. You may not redistribute ClipPair, other than as allowed by open-source components' own licenses (see the third-party notices included with the app).
9. No warranty. ClipPair is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it'll work on every network or computer, or that it will never have bugs. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for ClipPair. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Changes. If we change these terms we'll update the date above. Changes won't take away a license you've already bought.
11. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without limiting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
